ELECTRIC MOTOR
REMANUFACTURE SPECIFICATIONS
PREPARATION
-
All surfaces (inside and outside) to include stator, end bells, rotating assemblies and parts are cleaned.
-
All parts are fully inspected and tested as applicable
ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL
1. Stator is preliminary tested, baked and dipped
2. Stator Windings undergo the following tests in accordance with applicable NEMA standards:
-
Dielectric testing of windings with AWAIV Advanced Winding Analysis System
-
Insulation resistance and polarization index with temperature correction
-
Phase resistance and resistance balance with temperature correction
-
Direct Current Step Voltage Testing
-
Surge Comparison Testing
-
Thermographic analysis on magnetic core for integrity verification
3. If test results do not meet NEMA standards, stator windings will be replaced with new
minimum class F VPI windings.
4. The rotor undergoes the following tests:
-
Test for soundness
-
Thermographic analysis on magnetic core for integrity verification
-
Checked and brought to proper concentricity
-
Shaft runouts brought to proper tolerances
-
Dynamically balanced (fans balanced separately on TEFC motors)
5. All ball bearings are replaced with new ones.
FINAL ASSEMBLY AND TEST PROCEDURES PER IEEE 112
a) No Load Power Analysis
b) No Load FFT Analysis after temperature stabilization
c) Noise level and rate of airflow (when applicable)
d) Performance testing per IEEE 112 Method 1
e) Bearing temperature monitoring until point of stabilization (when applicable)
f) Magnetic center shaft scribe on sleeve bearing units
g) Vibration Analysis Test
